Every coin figure on this page comes from the game's own Grand Exchange price data, last updated 22 October 2026. Prices move, so check the Grand Exchange in game (::ge) before you commit to a method.

How the economy works

• The Grand Exchange buys and sells almost anything. Aetheria's Grand Exchange uses live market prices and real trade volumes, so your offers fill even when few players are online.
• Price decides speed. An offer at the guide price fills in seconds for busy items and up to about an hour for rarely traded ones. Sell a little below the guide price (or buy a little above) to fill faster; ask too much and the offer may never fill.
• Buy limits cap how many of an item you can buy every four hours.
• Double experience means you unlock the better-paying methods twice as fast as on a standard server.
• Open the Grand Exchange anywhere with ::ge, and collect with ::gecollect.

Free money: challenges and commissions

The easiest coins in the game come from Aetheria's own systems, and they pay on top of whatever you gather while completing them:

Doing every challenge adds up to about 36,000,000 coins a month before the casket and key rewards, without counting what you gather on the way.

Starting out (low levels)

1. Do your daily challenges: they scale to low levels and pay coins plus a reward casket each.
2. Chop and mine raw materials (below) and sell them on the Grand Exchange.
3. Kill monsters that drop bones and hides: big bones from giants and dragonhide from green dragons sell well. The Training tab of the teleport menu lists the spots.
4. Pick a god early: commissions pay coins and experience every day.

Skilling: what everything sells for

Sells for is what a Grand Exchange sell offer receives at the current price. Traded a day is the item's daily market volume: the higher it is, the faster you can sell large amounts. Made items (bars, potions, bodies, bows) need ingredients, so your profit is the sale price minus what the ingredients cost you.

High alchemy

Cast High Level Alchemy (Magic 55) on an item to turn it into coins at its alchemy value. You gain Magic experience at the same time, and you can alch anything that drops. These items currently cost less to buy than they alch for, even after paying for the nature rune:

Profit = high alch value − Grand Exchange buy price − one nature rune (138 coins).

Buy limits cap how many you can buy every four hours, so mix a few items. Prices change: check the buy price in game before you buy in bulk.

Bossing

Bosses are where the big money is: their rare drops are worth millions. The table lists each boss's most valuable drops at current prices and how often they drop. Defeating bosses also earns Devotion (+10 a boss) and counts toward boss challenges.

More ideas

• Slayer: Slayer monsters drop valuable items, tasks give +15 Devotion, and Slayer challenges pay out. Masters are listed on Skills.
• Clue scrolls and reward caskets: challenges hand out caskets from easy to master. Open them for rewards you can sell.
• Crystal keys: weekly and monthly challenges give crystal keys; use them on the crystal chest.

Keep your money safe

• Do not take more into the Wilderness than you are willing to lose: other players can kill you there.
• When you die to a monster, your gravestone holds your items for 15 minutes. Death & Gravestones
